....................................................IMPORTANT & USEFUL THINGS TO KNOW .....
Face Masks - the model village is mostly outdoors and face masks are not required in the gardens. In line with new government regulation, from Tue 30th Nov, they are required in the gift shop and when entering and exiting the model village.
NO CASH - We are a cashless business and only taking card payments on-site.
Our coffee shop is serving takeaway drinks, snacks & paninis - these can be enoyed on the outdoor terrace or seating indoors.
The car park adjacent to the Model Village is a council owned and operated pay and display car park. The machine nearest our entrance takes coins (we don't carry change), cards, payment by mobile or using the 'RingGo' app. If this is full, there is another car park down Chilcote Close, across the main road, just 2 or 3 mins walk away. The car park is accessed from St Marychurch Road (A379), not Hampton Avenue.
How long to allow? - The Model Village is set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens and much bigger than many first-time visitors anticipate. We recommend you allow at least 1.5 hours, longer if having refreshments too. As everything is in miniature with hidden gems and animated scenes at time intervals, a quick visit will certainly miss a lot. The longer you take, the more you will see and experience - take a slower pace or go around twice!
