Babbacombe Model Village how to find us
Follow signs to Torquay/Torbay from the A38, A380 or A385
Follow the brown signs to Model Village once you are in the Torquay/Torbay area
We are situated 2.5 miles from Torquay harbour in the pretty area of St. Marychurch/Babbacombe
Our postcode is TQ1 3LA, however this will lead you to the Hampton Avenue side of the local authority car park which is no entry. The car park is accessed from St Marychurch Road (A379). Use your satnav but please follow the brown signs when you get within half a mile.
There is a pay & display local authority owned car park adjacent to the model village that serves the whole area. This car park looks like it belongs to us, but we have no ownership or control of it. Card payments can be made at one of the machines (we do not have any change/coins). They also use pay-by-mobile either using a number to call or if you download the 'RingGo' app
Visitors are typically with us between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, so we suggest you allow at least 2 hours for parking, though you may want to consider putting in longer and, if you do have spare time, take the 5 minutes walk to the Babbacombe Downs - the views are fantastic.
You can always pop out to top up the parking.
If the main car park is full, follow the brown sign to overflow parking which is close by in Chilcote Close (about 3-4 mins walk from us).
Campervan/Motorhome/RV - the car park does have limited suitable space for these - one long space at the far end as you come in past our entrance or, if you go immediately left, there is a gravel area with no lines. (if you use the regular spaces and overlap over two, the council do expect you to get two tickets)
Get the bus to St Marychurch, we are just 3-4 minutes walk from/to the bus stops - follow the black & gold pedestrian signs.
